    Site Reliability Engineer
    • Site reliability engineer for the Yugabyte Managed product.
    • Managing many Kubernetes clusters and other infrastructure services deployed on AWS and GCP.
  2. August 2018 - April 2022
    Microsoft
    Software Engineer
    • Worked as a technical lead on Azure Cosmos DB.
    • I founded a team that built a Python microservice that would perform real-time root cause analysis/mitigation of incidents and eliminate the need for an on-call engineer.
    • I have open sourced a portion of this work as https://github.com/microsoft/jupyrest.
  3. May 2017 - August 2017

    Software Engineering Intern
    • Worked on the Azure Cosmos DB, globally distributed NoSQL database. Developed a service that performed automatic root cause analysis on bugs in the database engine.
    • Built a special rule langugage and compiler to allow users to automate their root cause diagnosis logic.
  4. May 2016 - August 2016
    Fitbit
    Software Engineering Intern
    • Developed critical backend parts of the "guided goal setting" feature in the Fitbit app. Feature was deployed by end of summer.
    • Experimented with building a recommender system to infer a user's food taste using data from food logs in the app.
  5. May 2015 - August 2015
    Kayak.com
    Software Engineering Intern
    • Created interactive dashboards using D3.js to provide realtime analytics on Kayak's hotel priming cache and hotel click data.
    • Replaced Kayak's primary vehicle for Hive job execution (BASH scripts) with a much cleaner JDBC connection using modified drivers from Amazon AWS.
